Anguilla Banker Kit McCoy elected Vice President of Mississippi Young Bankers

Kit McCoy has been elected to serve as vice president of Mississippi Young
Bankers, a section of the Mississippi Bankers Association.
Since 1950,
Mississippi Young Bankers has been active in providing leadership development
activities, supporting financial literacy programs of the MBA and its member
banks. MYB members are involved in administering scholarship programs for high
school and college students, supporting the MBA Education Foundation, and
advocating policy positions important to a strong banking industry.
McCoy serves as
President and CEO for Bank of Anguilla. McCoy started in banking as a part-time
teller 25 years ago while she was a college freshman. She earned her BSE from
Delta State University, and she is a graduate of the Mississippi School of
Banking at the University of Mississippi and the Graduate School of Banking
Louisiana State University. McCoy also earned the designation as a Certified
Regulatory Compliance Manager in 2020.
In addition to
this role and her prior involvement with the MYB, McCoy has served on the MBA’s
Lending Committee and Compliance Committee and currently on the Legislative Committees. As a
part of the vice president position, McCoy will also serve on the MBA Education
Foundation Board.
McCoy is active in
her community and serves on the board as a director for Sharkey-Issaquena
Academy. She also is a past Chairman on the Mississippi Regulatory Compliance
Group’s Steering Committee and the past Chairman of the American Bankers
Associations’ Community Engagement and Reinvestment Committee.
McCoy and her
husband Wayne reside in Glen Allan with their son Way.
