The purpose of the Mississippi Young Bankers section of the MBA is education - educating Mississippians on how to properly manage money, and the continuing education of young bankers. MYB activities also give bankers an opportunity to network. The Young Bankers Section of the Mississippi Bankers Association was formally authorized at the MBA Convention in 1950. Governed by an Executive Council, the section's annual activities include a Leadership Golf Tournament and Leadership Conference each fall and a Convention each spring. MYB also encourages bankers to participate in consumer education activities - the MYB's Banking on Your Future program reaches thousands of schoolchildren annually.
